Hi! My name is Jackie and it just so happens my last name is....Chan 😂.  Growing up as a child, I looked forward every weekend to go to the Asian bakery store where I would find everything from taro bread to matcha sponge cake to black sesame biscuit cookies.  I thought there wasn't anything better than Asian bakeries.  However, in college, I first discovered the chocolate chip cookie in the cafeterias and one of my favorite stores that sold it was Potbelly's sandwich at the time.  Since then, I've always been on the lookout to find the best chocolate chip cookie wherever I go.  

When I finally settled back home in Los Angeles, I wondered why I couldn't find cookies that have the texture of that perfect chocolate chip cookie in flavors that I enjoyed so much from the Asian bakery stores.  But of course, I couldn't find them so I decided to try to make them my way: from-scratch, packed with flavor, not overly sweet, and of course, chewy. 

My mission is to recreate our favorite childhood desserts into a bite size treat that we can enjoy on the go.  We can all appreciate a perfect cookie that is crispy on the outside and soft & chewy in the center, No?  🙂  I hope you enjoy them as much as I do!
